Privacy Policy

This page explains what we learn about you when you use this website, and what happens to an inquiry after you send it. It is written to match what the site actually does.

Who we are

This website is operated by Julio Rodriguez US Customs Broker Corporation (“Julio Rodriguez US Customs Broker”, “we”, “us”), a licensed customs brokerage with offices in Miami, Florida, San Juan, Puerto Rico and Orlando, Florida. This policy covers this website and the inquiries and email conversations that begin from it.

When you are only reading

You can read every page of this site without giving us anything. There are no accounts and no advertising trackers. Like any website, the servers that host this one and the network service in front of it keep standard logs: your IP address, the browser you used, which pages you opened and when. Those logs exist to keep the site running and to spot abuse, not to build a profile of you.

Cookies and fonts

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies on this site. The display fonts load from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If we ever add a visit counter or any other measurement, this page changes with it.

What you send us in an inquiry

The intake form asks for a way to reach you (an email address or a phone number), the topic of your inquiry, and whatever you choose to write. Nothing else is required. It becomes an email to us; it is not written into a database, it does not create an account, and it does not go on a marketing list. We answer from that email, and the thread becomes the ordinary business record of the inquiry.

The message box is free text and reaches us as you wrote it. An entry number or a container number is fine there; there is no reason to put payment details in it, and we would rather you did not.

When you become a customer

Clearing goods requires real records: a Power of Attorney, your importer number, entry documents, commercial invoices. Those are collected and kept under the engagement itself, not through this website, and federal regulation requires a customs broker to retain client records for set periods. This policy covers the website; the engagement’s own terms cover the brokerage work.

How we keep the form from being abused

The form carries a hidden field that a person never sees and never fills in, and we limit how many times it can be sent from the same address in a short period. That means your IP address is used briefly for abuse prevention. We chose this over a captcha so there is no puzzle between an importer and an answer.

Who else handles your information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. It reaches other hands only where the work requires it: the hosting and network providers that run this site, the email provider that delivers and stores the inquiry, government agencies where a filing you engage us for requires it, and anyone we are legally required to give it to.

How long we keep it

Inquiry emails and the threads that follow are kept as normal business records, for as long as the matter and our accounting, regulatory and legal obligations require. Server logs are short lived by nature and roll off on their own.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by email or by phone at +17877059136. Because the record here is an email rather than a database row, deleting it means deleting that thread, and we will tell you plainly if something has to be kept for regulatory or accounting reasons.

Children

This is a commercial trade-services site. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.

Language

This site is published in English and Spanish. This policy is maintained in English, and the English version is the one that governs.
